I know it's taken me a very long time to blog about my baby showers because I start them, then hit delete and restart, then restarted them again. I just couldn't get past the point where it sounded like I was tooting my own horn. So sorry, but we'll try this again. On July 17, 2010 my good friends Amanda Jordan and Tammy Anderson through me a baby shower. I was so excited for this day to come. It felt like it took a million years to get here.
My good friend Maria and her "Tribe" came up from Las Vegas. She did
n't get to my house until 7 am. The baby shower was at 11 am. I figured they would want to take a nap before we went over to the shower. Who was I kidding... this is Maria and she's a talker. About 9:30 I jumped in the shower to finish getting ready of course all of 4 of them were passed out on the couch. I got ready did my hair and when it was ready to go I felt horrible for having to wake them up. We got in the car (after the long hard choice of if Ricky was going to drive or just ride with me) and on the way over to Lehi Eliza fell in love with Utah. She kept telling her mom that she wanted to move here. Which would be just fine with me.

During the party we played many games. My favorite game is the diaper game... where you melt different candy bars into diapers and then you have to going around smelling, tasting, looking at each diaper to see what candy bar you believe it is. I was helping my friend Tiffany because the poor girl decided to go out and turn herself into a lobster.
We did really good if I remember right we missed one which was the 100 Grand. Good thing money wasn't riding on that candy bar choice. We also had to diaper a balloon. Not with a disposable diaper, nope we had to use a hand towel. like in the old days when people used cloth diapers. The person with the fastest time without popping the balloon
won a prize. I figured I would go last because I was sure that I would be popping the balloon since I had never done this before. Of course I watched as Audrey (my boss) breezed through it. The one that rocked at it was Eliza. Yep out of all the people there the teenager got the fastest time. But everyone should be proud I didn't pop the balloon. Of course we also played Bingo and a word scramble of baby items. When it was time for gifts I was so amazing at some of the things I got. I ca
n't believe the things you get at a baby shower. My good friend Bobby Sue Powell made me this really cute diaper bag. Everyone loved it. She is so talented. I haven't seen her since she graduated from High School so it was good to see her and be able to catch up.

My friend Jamie Brown was able to come and get away from her child for a few hours. I'm sure a much needed break, though he would've been welcome to come as well. I was so glad to see her. She gave me some disposable diaper bags. I know you're probably thinking disposable diaper bags? They are kinda like the bags that you see at a park where people have to take care of their animals waste. I think a lot of people where very curious about those.
My college roommate Erica came down from Logan to spend a few hours with me. I was so excited to see her since she doesn't really like driving my herself though no one can blame her. Plus she just started working on building her first house she it was a huge thing that her hubby let her come down. (Thanks Joey!) He son is such a cutie I can't believe he's getting as big as he is. I just seen them a few months before.
Kimmi & Brenda were able to come and join us. Look at us we look like Christmas! Madison & Brittany safely arrived thank heavens... since I fix their family cars a few times a year. Didn't really want to call their dad and let them know they needed another repair job. All four of them gave Whyatt some baby clothes let's hope that he isn't to big and that he'll be able to fit into all the cute clothes that he received.
I'm glad that Amber & Ashley were able to show up. I know that Ashley probably had better things to do with her day. Since sitting at a baby shower when your a teenager doesn't sound like much fun.
Jocelyn I can't thank you enough for the diapers and the bouncer, plus lets not forget the chocolate covered strawberries. I'm so glad that you were able to get a break from your wonderful kids to come and help celebrate mine. I'm sure everyone who helped me finish of the chocolate covered strawberries at the BBQ loved them just as much as I did.
Mrs. Audrey Gardner who could ask for a better boss? Thank you so much for everything that you have done for me. You're truly a great lady and a good friend. Thank you so much for the travel system, clothes, blankets and I'm sure I'm missing something. Thank you to Amanda & Tammy for all the hard work that you put into this day. A special thank you to everyone who took time out of their day to spend time with me. I know how imporant your families are to you. Thanks again for all the wonderful gifts and laughs. I can't thank you enough and can't wait for all of you to meet Whyatt.

You are welcome! We are glad that you enjoyed it and had fun. We were glad to have such a great turnout too. We can't wait to meet him either.
